Moffat County is one of the 64 counties of Colorado. As of the 2010 census, the population was 13,795. The county seat is Craig. The county was named for David H. Moffat, a Colorado tycoon who attempted to build a railroad route from Denver to Salt Lake City. Notable locations include White River National Forest, Dinosaur National Monument, and Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway National Scenic Byway.
